Hi! I’m T.J. an Arizona Wedding Photographer
I’ve been documenting love stories for 12 years, but I have been in love with photography sine high school. I used to race BMX, and after multiple broken bones, and surgeries my mom asked me what else interested me and I told her photography. By my senior year of high school, I knew I wanted to go to school to be a photographer. Photography became my escape, and much like today, I can go to it to clear my head, even on a busy wedding day, I find it relaxing to photograph!
I fell into wedding photography on accident, capturing a wedding for a coworker’s friend at Tlaquepaque while I was getting my undergrad at Norther Arizona University. What a lucky place for a first wedding, and I loved every second of it! Since then, I have photographed almost 900 weddings! I found a love for the outdoors also while I was at NAU, and it only made sense to mix my love for the outdoors with my love of wedding photography!
My amazing wife has been with me since that very first wedding. We have been together for 13 years and have two amazing children. My daughter Charlotte who is almost 3, and my son Owen who just turned 1 in January. Believe it or not, I don’t take as many photos of them as you’d think. I work with a camera so much, that when I am with my family, I love to just be present. My father wasn’t around much when I was younger, and so it is important for me to spend as much time as I can with my children. And fortunately for me, when I am not shooting weddings on the weekends, I am a stay-at-home dad, hanging with my kids, going on hikes, to the zoo, parks, the science center, etc. I absolutely love to fill their days with fun activities.
I have worked very hard to create a career doing what I love, and I am very thankful to all of my clients who have trusted me with their wedding days. It is very important to me, that I mesh well with my clients. At the end of the day, one of the most important things is that my clients trust we will have fun on their wedding day, and that they want me to be a part of their day. This is where and when we can get the absolute best photos!
Family is of the most importance to me, and on wedding days I love to focus on your special connections with your family and friends throughout your day. I don’t take lightly the privilege it is to be your wedding photographer, and I want to capture timeless photos that last generations.
